The Federal Skilled Worker Program (also known as the Federal Skilled Worker Class) is Canada’s most well-known worker immigration program, allowing the country to welcome tens of thousands of newcomers each year based on their ability to integrate into the Canadian workforce.

Ability to communicate in English or French

Type/Level of work experience

Experience in one of these NOCs, either in Canada or abroad:

Amount of work experience

Within the last ten years, one year of uninterrupted service (combination of part-time, full-time, or more than 1 job in your primary occupation)

Job offer

It is not required.

However, having a genuine job offer can earn you selection criterion (FSW) points.

Education

Secondary education is required.

For your post-secondary study, you can earn more selection criterion (FSW) points.
