Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a permanent immigration category that permits people who have worked in Canada for at least a year to apply. CEC is a component of the Express Entry immigration system in Canada.

The Canadian government recognises the large number of bright people already employed in the country and wants them to become permanent residents. Individuals and families who have established roots in Canada and formed plans for the future.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Language Skills

Ability to communicate in English or French

If your NOC is 0 or A, CLB 7 is required;

if your NOC is B, CLB 5 is required.

Type/Level of work experience

Canadian experience in one of these NOCs:

0
A
B

Amount of work experience

In the previous three years, one year in Canada (either combination of full-time or part-time work)
